Highland Ventures is a venture management company that develops and operates multiple businesses. They have an extensive commercial real estate portfolio and are franchisees of numerous Marco's pizza chains and other businesses. The company's previous website, built in WordPress was not serving the company for its recruiting purposes. The site had an outdated design with much-needed back-end updates, some pages and CMS had broken links, and the load time took longer than its initial launch. While updating the old website, I presented those issues to the company's leaders and provided a solution: building a new website with better functionality and easy site management.

I oversee the entire design process from concept to launch. At first, I conducted interviews with different teams for research and defined clear objectives to help the design direction. The departments expressed a strong desire for accessible hiring-related information on the site and to showcase its culture better, which helps with recruitment. My team focused on increasing the "our people" photo library to have a more significant presence of culture on our site. We added custom content for each brand page to feature brand identity and present what makes each brand unique. I collaborated closely with the HR team to help organize and create a dedicated "for employees" page where the employees could quickly access the company's literature. Furthermore, I integrated visual elements, user interface enhancements focusing on usability and brand consistency, and a content management system (CMS) to facilitate easy content updates.

Key responsibilities included wireframing, collaborating with different teams and departments, full-scale design production using tools such as  Figma, Adobe XD & Photoshop, Webflow, and in-house photo shoots for content. The result was a responsive site with optimized performance across all devices, a modern layout, and a designer-user-friendly site with all the requested functionality. This project showed my ability to deliver impactful design solutions that meet both client objectives and user needs.
